When FRP Wins

FRP is usually the best value for corrosive liquids, underground tanks, wastewater, chemical storage, and any application where weight and fast installation matter. It needs no painting or coating.

When Stainless Steel Wins

Use stainless steel for very high temperature, sanitary / food-grade service, or parts that must be welded on site. In chloride service, 316L is needed and may still pit over time.

When Concrete Wins

Concrete is competitive for very large, low-pressure basins below ground, and where seismic / blast loading dominates. For watertight sewage or chemical tanks, however, concrete almost always needs internal lining and still leaks at joints.
