Large FRP Tank Lifting

Tank Construction

The tank is filament-wound from glass roving impregnated with vinyl ester or polyester resin. The wall consists of a corrosion-resistant inner veil, a structural helical and hoop winding layer, and an outer UV-resistant layer. Large tanks may be 3 to 12 meters in diameter and 6 to 20 meters long.

Handling and Transportation

Large FRP tanks are lifted by approved slings attached to designated lifting lugs. The crane must lift slowly and evenly to avoid point loading. Tanks are often transported horizontally on heavy-duty trailers, with support saddles at the correct positions.

Quality Control
