Matched Square Compression Mold

Matched square compression mold shows the upper and lower die halves assembled together, forming a complete square-box or enclosure mold. The die features a large square cavity with perimeter details and four corner alignment guides.

Matched Die Design

The upper half (core) and lower half (cavity) close to form the shape of a square box or tray. The perimeter has bolt holes, ejector pins, and guide pillars. When closed, the parting line is visible around the edge. This is a classic compression mold design for open square containers, lids, or trays.

Process

SMC or BMC charge is loaded in the lower cavity. The press closes, and the material flows to fill the box shape. After cure, the mold opens and ejector pins push the part out. Flash along the parting line is trimmed after demolding.
